Hi, I'm Rebecca!

Using raw materials such as wool and cotton, I make sculptural wall hangings, woven together by hand. Located in the beautiful state of Utah, my work often reflects abstract landscapes, inspired by the textures and colors of the earth, water, and sky.

My work has so much more to do with creating something aesthetic for people’s homes: it’s about evoking emotions that connect us more deeply to ourselves, to each other, and to that deeper something that holds the essence and meaning of existence. My work is meant to connect and expand people in a way that brings meaning, purpose, and joy to the viewer.

My Intentions

My intention as an artist is to create both a visual, tactile, and emotional experience for the viewer by intricately weaving meaning and memory into texture and color.

Even the rawest materials such as raffia or wool can be meticulously and gently twisted and formed with compassion into something stunningly beautiful as a whole. My work is deeply influenced by a desire to inspire others to be fiercely authentic, vulnerable, and most of all, human, while we all learn to accept, love, and celebrate who we are.

This work helped me express an emotion that was difficult to put to words, something about both the joy and pain that comes with personal evolution.
